One of the reasons computers can be so blummin’ frustrating is that similar bits of jargon mean such different things.
“Toolbar” and “Taskbar” for example.
The taskbar is that bar across the bottom of the screen, with the clock, the start button and buttons for all the programs you have running (that’s why it’s called the “task” bar – because there’s a buttong for each program currently doing a “task”).
A toolbar in a program is the bar with lots of options on it – for example with Save, open, bold text, underline, italicise and so on.
Sometimes when you read about doing something to one or the other it isn’t obvious which from the context – so it’s worth knowing the difference.
